meet the artist

Shylo is a mostly self-taught artist whose creative journey is fueled by a passion for learning and exploration. Drawing inspiration from her photography, conversations with fellow artists, and her personal experiences, Shylo embraces the challenge of continuously evolving her artistic techniques and expanding her creative boundaries. Her work is deeply rooted in the natural beauty of Coastal BC, where the vibrant colours of the landscape influence her work. Her mom’s light-filled house serves as a constant source of inspiration, especially in her watercolour pieces.
Shylo has been accepted into the artist residency, Chateau d'Orquevaux located in Orquevaux, France starting April 2026 where she will be working on part of a self-portrait series and watercolours of the buildings and property at the chateau during her 3 week stay.
