MEET THE ATIST

Liz’s art is created using a combination of acrylics, paint pens, oil pastel and collage. Her use of vibrant colour and abstract style embodies movement and emotion.
Drawn to texture, intense colour, cutting out, pasting, layering fabric, paper and paint becomes an expression of release and rebuilding. In combination with spontaneous action painting on canvas, wood and furniture, she captures an explosive and spirited energy. The consistent exchange between playful images and rapid movement in her art expresses the connection and representation of the beauty found within the disorder of the outer and inner world.
Liz was born in Kitimat B.C. and moved to the Comox Valley as a teenager in the mid 90’s. She is a hairstylist located in downtown Courtenay and displays her art out of her salon space.
