MEET THE ARTIST
Larissa McLean is a resident of the Comox Valley and a member of ArtWrx, located in downtown Courtenay. She has over twenty years of teaching experience and a BED degree, certified in Alberta and British Columbia, as well as a BFA in printmaking from ACAD. Her teaching focuses on art, gardening and horticulture for Grades 1-12.
Larissa works in mixed-media, integrating painting, felting, printmaking and collage. Her influences reflect a reverence for wildlife and sustainability, water, salmon-spawning and the value of old growth forest. Larissa continues to work on sustainable practices on her half-acre windmill home, where she offers classes on her patio in a garden setting in the summer.
