MEET THE ARTIST
I have most often worked with acrylic paint on wood panel that I've textured, marked and scraped but more recently have started to experiment with monoprinting. I forage leaves and grasses from my garden and the forest and use them to create layered images on paper. These I use to collage into acrylic paintings on wood panel. I attended Emily Carr School of Art and Design in the 1990's in Vancouver taking many selected, credit courses in drawing, painting and sculpture as well as a series of Life Drawing classes at Langara College through the Fine Arts Continuing Education program. More recently I have taken courses from local artists in Composition and Colour Theory.
