MEET THE ARTIST

I'm Chandra, a Vancouver Island artist, living in Comox, BC. My work is mostly landscape and is inspired by the beauty that surrounds us in nature through all the seasons. I use acrylic paints and mediums, layering with glazes to create a glowing effect. I love vibrant and bold colours. The process of creating art allows me to view the beauty found in simple things... the cast of a shadow, the curve of a form, light and reflections. I work from my own reference photos taken during my adventures in nature and my travels. My passion for creating art has been a constant throughout my life. After raising my family and then retiring from my nursing career in 2023, I am able to dedicate more time and energy into my artistic pursuits.
