Amy Baxter
MEET THE ARTIST
Amy Baxter is a painter and photographer who finds zen in the chaos of nature—birds, trees, sky, and water. Her work moves from traditional photography to texture-layered, painterly images and semi-abstract impressionist paintings. Through each medium, she captures moments that can’t be repeated and emotions that aren’t always visible. Always exploring new ways to evoke feeling, she creates from Vancouver Island, often with her neighbour’s dog, Buddy, nearby and convinced his input is required. It’s complicated. It’s what she does best.
